Orangutan Appeal UK

Gelison has been adopted by Ginger Recruiment.

We couldn’t use the image of an Orangutan as our company icon without looking into supporting Orangutans in a positive way.

Letter of thanks
Dear Ginger Recruitment

Thank you so much for your kind donation to the Orangutan Appeal UK. Your adoption pack for orphan Gelison is attached.

You can be confident this donation has enabled us to help Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in a positive way.

Sepilok is working tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and eventually release orangutans back into the rainforest, which helps the dwindling numbers and widens the gene pool in the wild orangutan population.

But there is still much to do!

I have the pleasure in enclosing your adoption pack, which includes your certificate, orphan Gelison’s photographs and history profile.  You will receive an update on his progress in six months time.

If you would like to help the environment and would be happy to receive your 6-month update via email, please contact adopt@orangutan-appeal.org.uk and let us know.

You can read about further developments and updates on our website http://www.orangutan-appeal.org.uk/ and Facebook page www.facebook.com/orangutanappealuk.

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely

Say hello to Gelison!
monley_polaroid1
Gelison, whose name means ‘Warrior’ in the local tribes dialect, is a young male orangutan who arrived at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in July 2010. He was estimated to be just eight months old at the time.

He was found alone on a palm oil platation near the village of Sukau, which is on the Kinabatangan River. The workers who found him immediately took him to their office and arranged for him to be safely transported to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.
