I made the leap from a successful career in the hospitality industry, which I loved, into the world of recruitment, looking for a better work/life balance.

I had never thought of a career in recruitment before, I just knew I wanted to remain connected to the hospitality industry. I did my research and realised this was the perfect career path for me to follow.  I became a hospitality recruiter, passed my REC exam and haven’t looked back since.

Working in hospitality with some of the best hoteliers and restaurateurs, (Craig Bancroft, Nigel Haworth & Breda Murphy to name a few) gave me a strong grounding for exceptional customer service, extremely high standards and building relationships.  To this day this is what I believe in and apply to the way I work in recruitment.

I love working with people.  Yes, chefs are a different breed – but they keep me on my toes! Specialising in hospitality recruitment means no day is ever the same, I love the challenge of supporting and helping businesses with their interim recruitment needs and making a difference.

I truly believe life is about chapters, challenging yourself, getting out of your comfort zone and also looking at the skills you have learnt and how they can be transferred into another career.

I don’t know if I’ll still be in recruitment in 11 years’ time but what I do know is that I will always have the grounding of everything I learnt whilst working in the hospitality industry, from my first job making beds in a small b&b at (dare I say it!) age 13, to now placing hospitality professionals in some of the best businesses across the country. I absolutely love working in a sector that I am truly passionate about.
